XKCD: Mission To Culture

xkcd, “A webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language”,
a) shows the most effective way to make a techno-addicted kid visit a classical concert,
b) offers empirical data about audience formation,
c) explains which seats are best when listening to a symphony orchestra, and
d) reveals how classical music’s money problems show to outsiders, but not to adepts (cursor needs to hover over the image for this one).

The author doesn’t need more than one strip consisting of four images to achieve all this! That’s because he holds a degree in physics and formerly worked at a NASA research center, I’m sure.

Enjoy the meticulously drawn characters here.

(xkcd is one of my favourite web comics. This is an older strip.)
